Photocatalytic reduction of aromatic azides to amines using CdS and CdSe nanoparticles.
We have shown that CdS and CdSe nanoparticles can act as very efficient and highly chemoselective photocatalysts for the reduction of aromatic azides to aromatic amines. In several cases, the reaction proceeds with quantum yields near 0.5, which approaches the theoretical maximum for a two-electron process. The wide scope of the reaction was confirmed with compounds containing electron withdraw...
متن کاملReduction of Nitroaromatics to Amines with Cellulose Supported Bimetallic Pd/Co Nanoparticles
Pd and Co nanoparticles were deposited on cellulose for use as a heterogeneous catalyst in the bimetallic catalytic reduction reaction. The catalyst was characterized with Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction pattern, Thermal Gravimetric Analysis, Flame Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, and Transmission Electron Microscopy, and applied in the reduction reaction of nitroarom...
متن کاملselective method for reduction of oximes to amines in the presence of cu nanoparticle
the selective reduction of oximes with sodium borohydride (nabh4) in the presence of nano cu and charcoal was investigated. cu nanoparticles are widely used as catalysts; efficacious catalyst: copper and copper alloy nanometer feature high efficacy and selectivity, and can be used as catalyst in some reactions. we have shown that nabh4 in the presence of charcoal is an efficient protocol for th...
متن کاملChitosan supported bimetallic Pd/Co nanoparticles as a heterogeneous catalyst for the reduction of nitroaromatics to amines
A new bimetallic nanocomposite of chitosan was prepared. Pd and Co nanoparticles were deposited on chitosan to produce a new heterogeneous recyclable catalyst for use in the bimetallic catalytic reduction reaction. The catalyst was characterized with common analysis methods for nanocomposites including Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction pattern, Thermal Gravimetric Analysis...
متن کاملA chemoselective and green reduction of nitro arenes to aromatic amines with FeSO4, NaBH4, H3PW12O40 in water at room temperature
A new efficient and practical method for the room-temperature reduction of aromatic nitro compounds employing FeSO4. 7H2O, NaBH4, H3PW12O40 system in H2O under mild conditions is reported. The method is simple, inexpensive, easily scaled-up and applicable for the large scale preparation of different substituted anilines.
